Making a healthy lifestyle change can often be very difficult. One of the challenges I have found of sticking to healthy eating is sticking to a plan, any plan. When making the decision to eat wholesome foods, the beginning is fun and exciting. It is usually a week or two into the diet that all the healthy foods can start to taste the same. This is the strength of The 40 Days to Better Living Cookbook. The variety provided in this book is extensive. The recipes range from easy to moderate in their ease of preparation and if the system is followed – the likelihood of becoming bored with the food is relatively low.
This book is a good starting point for someone wanting guidance on introducing more fruits, vegetables, and whole grains into their diets and is a handy resource for those wishing to reduce their reliance on take-out and get their family on the road to better health.
We all know that losing weight is hard and that sometimes eating healthy can be expensive so one of the things I liked about this cookbook is each recipe came with a $ to $$$ to show you how expensive it could be to gather the ingredients. It also gave a * on the recipes that you could make and freeze for up to three months. I found this to be very helpful as I never know what I can freeze and what I can't.
The meals that I tried were great and I would eat them again and I plan to try more meals from this cookbook. If you are looking for a healthy eating cookbook I would recommend you give this one a try.

Since I have been working hard to make a lifestyle change in the way I eat, I have been trying to find cookbooks that will help me do that. Not ones that are full of recipes that I will NEVER eat, but ones that have real food for a real person like me.
This cookbook, The 40 Days to Better Living Cookbook: Your Easy-to-Use Guide to Delicious, Healthful Meals really does that for me --it gives me real and delicious recipes to help me eat better, live better, and cook better for not only me - but my family as well.
We all know that losing weight is hard and that sometimes eating healthy can be expensive so one of the things I liked about this cookbook is each recipe came with a $ to $$$ to show you how expensive it could be to gather the ingredients. I can't wait to dig in further and make more recipes from this delicious cookbook!
This is a very good book for anyone interested in eating healthy. The introduction gives information on food groups, calorie counts, recommended dietary counts. The recipes are for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and Snacks. Some are classic recipes which have had healthy make-overs and some are new or altered recipes. the recipes all have nutritional analysis and even a cost guide indicating the cost of making the recipe on a scale of $-$$$$. There is also an indicating asterisk as to the freezablity of the dish.
Within the first few pages of this cookbook I get a good vibe; finally one that tells a person recommended calories, vitamins and minerals. Each recipe then goes onto give prep time, how much each recipe makes, how much of a serving you should consume and nutritional facts. The creator of this cookbook has gone to a lot of trouble to calculate what goes into each serving.
The cookbook explains what your body need and why it needs it. Super yummy dishes like the Chicken and Rice bowl with Teriyaki Glaze, Fish and Chips (how can that ever be bad), and Chocolate Chocolate Chip Muffins!
Would I recommend this cookbook? For sure! There are still a ton of recipes I can’t wait to try and am looking forward to hearing whether you gals enjoyed any of these healthy eats as well.
